Vindhyanagar: As part of the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2026 being conducted by NTPC Limited, a special interactive awareness session was organized to educate and empower young participants on issues related to personal safety, self-confidence and social responsibility.
The session was led by Neeraj Sharma from the Women and Child Protection Department, who emphasized the importance of personal safety, awareness of individual rights and the confidence to raise one’s voice against any form of injustice or wrongdoing. Conducted in an engaging and interactive format, the programme encouraged open dialogue and provided the girls with a platform to share their thoughts, ask questions and gain valuable life skills. The session aimed to inspire them to become more aware, confident and empowered individuals capable of making informed decisions.
Adding another dimension to the programme, 63 girls participating in GEM-2026 were felicitated with certificates for their enthusiastic involvement in a painting competition organized by the district administration under Swachhta Pakhwada-2026. The competition promoted the message of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and sustainable living while providing a creative platform for young minds to express their ideas on sanitation and environmental conservation.
The recognition not only celebrated the artistic talents of the participants but also encouraged them to become ambassadors of cleanliness and healthy living within their communities. Through their artwork, the girls highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean environment and contributing to a greener future.
The programme was attended by Pranav Verma and David Deshmukh, who appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of the students.
